Dr. Vikram Girn is a Stockton native with a focus on complete and personalized vision care. He graduated from Franklin High School’s International Baccalaureate program as one of the top students of his class. He is a proud Aggie alumni who graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurology, Physiology, and Behavior. He journeyed to sunny southern California where he earned his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Southern California College of Optometry.
During the eye health evaluation, he addresses all of the patient's needs and prescribes his recommendations based on the latest exam findings. Dr. Girn focuses on educating his patients about exam findings and the treatment plan in a thorough and easy to understand manner.
Dr. Girn, along with his optical team, will customize a lens system that will fit his patient’s work life, home life, hobbies, and lifestyle.
For those patients who would like to be rid of glasses altogether, Dr. Girn performs custom contact lens fitting using the latest lens technologies that maximize vision, comfort, and eye health.
His training incorporated diverse disciplines of ocular disease, pediatrics, and acute red eye care. Dr. Girn is proud to have served our military service men and women at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan and our veterans at VA Southern Nevada in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
For patients interested in Laser surgery or cataract surgery, Dr. Girn co-manages the laser and cataract surgeries with Valley Laser & Surgery Center.
Dr. Girn is actively involved in his profession, holding membership in the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is currently serving as a board member of the San Joaquin Optometric Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Girn lectures at UC Berkeley School of Optometry, mentors youths, and travels the world.
