Dr. Leila Chow is a 1990 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. Shortly after graduation from optometry school, Dr. Chow began her practice of optometry in Oakland, CA. She joined Brookside Optometric Group in 2002 after earning an MBA from California State University, Hayward.
Dr. Chow is a firm believer that volunteerism begins at a young age. Her first volunteer position was at age 12 and she has led and participated on over 30 clinic missions to developing nations. She is currently a member of Ygnacio Valley Commuter Lions Club and is a Vice President of Lions Eye Foundation of California/Nevada, Inc. Dr. Chow lives by the belief that “It Takes a Village” to provide the gift of sight to those less fortunate around the world.
Dr. Chow and her husband have one daughter who keeps them extremely busy with school and extracurricular activities.
