BOG is hands down the best optometry group in Stockton - located in a great neighborhood, clean and well-kept facility, all staff are patient and friendly, great selection of frames, affordable lens add-ons, and the optometrist I personally see there is the best in the biz! And, the entire process is easy and efficient. The one thing to be mindful of is that they are extremely popular, so appointments will take some foreplanning on your part, and certain practitioners (especially mine) are often fully booked months out). But if you need something urgent, you can always select another optometrist - you aren't locked into just one!

I had my appointment yesterday, and I just have to say—it was such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The drive to Stockton was smooth and peaceful, and when I arrived, that same calm carried right into the office. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness. I didn’t catch the receptionist’s name, but she was so warm and pleasant—you could feel it right away. Everyone I interacted with made me feel comfortable and cared for. They took their time, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel rushed. That meant a lot to me. A very special thank you to Tony Nguyen. I truly appreciated how he took the time to explain every part of my eyes and what my eye health looked like. No one has ever done that for me before, and it made such a difference. I left feeling informed, confident, and genuinely cared for. Also, thank you to Carol, who helped fit me for my glasses. She was patient, easy to talk to, and made the whole process feel simple and enjoyable. What stood out most to me wasn’t just the quality of care—it was the customer service. You can get your eyes checked anywhere, but the way you’re treated is what truly matters—and this team made me feel valued. Great experience with Brookside Optometric Group! Process to schedule an appointment was completed easily through their website. I had an appointment with Dr. Hsu and she was fantastic. The rest of the staff was great as well and they had a large selection of frames to choose from. Took about 3 weeks to get my glasses after the appointment, but my husband got his in 2 weeks, so definitely reasonable turnaround time. Wonderful service overall!

Dr Scheer always makes me feel comfortable and respected, explaining what she is looking for and why in the images taken of the retina in ways that make sense and yet are not watered down or oversimplified. I learned more about the eye from her in my first appointment here (years ago) than I did with any other doctor my whole life. In our appointment this past Friday, Dr. Scheer went out of her way to express acceptance and update my chart when I explained how my identity has shifted in the last couple of years. I held onto her genuine joy for me all weekend long. That type of empathetic professionalism saves lives. She truly Sees people, which is such a beautiful thing for an eye doctor to offer the world.

My daughter has been coming to this facility since she was in Kinder. She turns 14 next month, so it really shows how long we've been a part of this place. Over the years, I've seen many doctors, not because I had problems with anyone, but just to get the quickest appointment. This gave me the opportunity to meet different doctors, and they have all been amazing. I only see Dr. Wynn once a year, for yearly checkups, so I didn’t really expect him to remember me. However, I was really impressed when he did! He remembered that I had four daughters, which was amazing to me. This time, I brought my son to the office, and right away he congratulated my husband and I for having our first son. It shows how much he loves his job and values the relationships he builds with his clients. It’s not every day that you meet someone who takes the time to remember details about you and your family. His attention to these small things makes a big difference in how I feel about our meetings. Overall, I am so pleased with the care he gives. I feel that he genuinely wants to connect, and because of that, I will always give him a 10 out of 10. He truly stands out in his profession! I have to add in. I love the ladies in the front office. They always have such a positive attitude, Very friendly and welcoming.

I have been going to Brookside Optometric Group for several years. They have an excellent staff with knowledgeable doctors and a great support staff. In addition they have an excellent selection of frames and lens options. I was very pleased with my last purchase and would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

This office has always been our go to place for our family's eye care! The doctors and staff are so helpful and friendly. From the eye exam to choosing your glasses, this office is all you need! Everyone works together like a well oiled machine!

Dr. Sher is the best optometrist I have ever seen. She is personable, kind, and informative. Brookside Optical has wonderful people who work there. Every one is polite, kind, and patient.

Dr. Hsu is very knowledgeable and recommended new eye glasses and to continue wearing sunglasses to protect our eyes. Front office staff very friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of eye glasses to fit my small frame difficulty and my husband Mike's large frame glasses. They were very helpful finding the right pair. Very patient and helpful. I've been going there since 2000. Definitely recommend.
